Pre-Cruising

2/05 Not exactly what we expected to be doing our first day south from Pompano!

Boat US Diver retrieving the abandoned anchor that our anchor was wrapped around!      Tow Boat getting set to tow us in. How embarrassing!

While we were getting the engines maintained at River Bend Marina, Jeff took advantage of a corner slip where the hull would be out of the water at low tide.

Here's the hull of our boat where Jeff repaired some tiny holes that were leaking through. Just something fun to do while we were at the repair yard!    And here he is, repairing those dings! Had to wait for low low tide when they would be exposed.    Jeff putting some new teak on the side of the boat!

2/05 Here's a few pictures of the boat under "renovation" just before heading out. Jeff loves doing these things!

Here's the galley all ripped out!    Another view!    A new table being built with lots of great drawers for storage!     First spin in the new dinghy

Here's a favorite of the girls practicing to be pirates, from a trip to Orlando in the summer of 2004, with our friends, the Espeys.

Ahoy there mateys!

Here are some pictures from a two-week sailing charter we did in February and March of 2002. We didn't have the best of weather, but had a great trip anyway. Sailed down through Biscayne Bay and past Key Largo, down to Hawk's Cay and Bahia Honda. Had to put in there due to bad weather, but took a cab down to Key West to enjoy the sights there also. Sailed back from Bahia Honda in the rain, but couldn't put a damper on our enjoyment....we went fishing, played games and just enjoyed being OUT there.

It's a little cool, but we don't care!    All four Lucia Girls at Hawk's Cay 3/02

A "big ship" cruise in August of 2000. We still ended up getting on a catamaran while in one of the ports.

We just can't resist the sailing...even though this one was chilly!   Rachel and Jamie Loaded with Birds   They look so innocent, don't they?

We took Jeff sailing on his birthday in March, 2000...my father came along, and we had a great day!

Yet another catamaran to sail.... this one on the Indian River near Fort Myers in 1999.

They're off again....Jillian and I watch from shore 1999       Ah... this feels good!        "What is this Guy doing on our Sail?"

Our girls, always up to mischief and having fun...these are from 1998:

Always Goofing Around...   Jamie and Rachel's Version of Water Ballet!   "We're Ready to Snorkel!"

Just to show our constant attraction to the water, travel and boats, here's a few pictures from a cruise taken in 1997, when Marcie was two years old, before Jillian was born:

Yes, that's Jeff and Jamie taking out the catamaran...who can resist?     Beautiful water, a tropical island...who could ask for anything more?     Jamie and Rachel and a view of our Cruise Ship
